Taylors Bulbs Connover's Colossal Asparagus (2 Crowns)

Details:

• Produces tasty green spears with pointed purple tips.
• A favourite amongst grow-your-own gardeners.
• Suitable for growing in raised beds and allotments.
• Plant in a raised bed using fertile, well-drained soil, applying a general fertiliser before planting commences.
• Crowns should be planted 12cm deep, and approximately 30cm apart.
• During the first season of growth, allow the plant to become fully established by not cutting any spears. Cutting only a few during the second season will be beneficial to the plant's growth.
• Cease cutting at the end of June to allow the plants to build up their strength again, before cutting back to the ground in the autumn.
