Staggered by how badly designed this shredder is; rated for a Euro 16amp fuse it will intermittently blow UK 13amp fuses! Only a single blade, so requires changing more frequently than my old and cheaper BOSCH. Blade changing is unbelievably fiddly. (The manual is useless). There is a bar you have to move to lock the blade. When you loosen the bar it falls under the machine. When you put the bar back, unless it is perfectly place the cover will not fit properly. The feed is a series of holes which stop anything but round sticks from being fed in! The flap that stops things flying back out droops into the machine and you need to stand well back to avoid bits flying back out! (Painfull injuries when I have been hit by ejected pieces of wood.)
Like another reviewer, I regret buying it because after a couple of hours a day trying to understand the instructions for putting it together, I have given up. It sits by my front door in pieces. Any offers?
I really do wish I had not bought this machine. It was a struggle to put it together, mainly because the instruction are so vague. When I tried to use the shredder, it kept blocking up. The guards on the input chute make it very difficult to feed material through at a reasonable rate and, despite wearing fairly thick gloves, the black guard made the back of my hand sore.
