This lightweight tool is the lightest in the STIHL range, making it ideal for precise edging along walls, trees, and borders. With an AutoCut head and the ability to fit a PolyCut head, tackling tough weeds and thinning out areas has never been easier.

- Loop handle (R) - The loop-handled grass trimmers and brushcutters are ideal for working in areas where space is limited, e.g. thinning between bushes and shrubs.
- Multi-function control handle - Easy & comfortable thumb-operated control means the operator's hand never leaves the handle.
- STIHL ErgoStart (E) - STIHL ErgoStart cuts the effort required to start the tool by half, while the starter cord can be pulled at just one-third of the normal force. A coil spring between the starter cord and the crankshaft smoothes out force peaks, making them virtually undetectable through the cord itself.
- STIHL ElastoStart - STIHL ElastoStart is a special starter handle which ensures a smooth starting process without any sudden peak forces. The integral damper smooths the power profile that is generated during starting and makes the starting process a lot easier.

Haven’t used it yet but light enough hope it does the job next season still using old electric one till I’ve used all spare spools I have bought would like to see how much it is to bye spare spools for stihl 38 is

its a light weight trimmer making it easier for job that's needed,
I’ve been using it for a while now and it’s a good strong reliable strimmer. You can tell you’ve got a very good branded item. Never lets me down and I’ve recently treated it to the blade conversion head. At only £20 it’s well worth it.
Love my Stihl equipment and can always rely on it to do the job.
