Good Value but disappointments

From the start be clear this is (a) not a Stihl item and (b) the title of the item is a pruner, NOT a cutter. Consequently, if you are used to more robust machinery tackling sturdy hedging this will not be your liking. It does the simple job of pruning the small feathering growth, not cutting thick stems. I think it is surprisingly heavy (see product info) and quite unwieldy, especially with the extension fitted, taking time to get used to handling an unbalanced bit of kit and seriously exercising your arms! The blade is quite short and, although the cut angle can be changed, you must remember to position it back to the normal before finishing and putting the pruner down on the ground or it will be damaged. The fuel mixing container is disappointing, rather poor quality plastic and does not pour well or seal unless super tight, as too the harness which is inferior quality compared to competitors. For the money it does the job I wanted, only keeping the top of hedges tidy; it will be very much as an additional finishing tool - to tackle hedges you will need to have other items too.
