Husqvarna Brushcutters:
As far as Brushcutters go, the Husqvarna 545RXT is up there with the best. Suitable for professionals working in landscaping, forestry, general gardening the strimmer comes with a host of performance, ergonomics and durability features. Such features include X-Torq, LowVib and Smart start Husqvarna technology allowing for a higher level of performance, comfort and ease of start-up. The 545RXT also comes supplied with a top-quality Balance XT ergonomic harness making operation over longer periods far more comfortable with less stress on the back. When you are buying a new Husqvarna brushcutter, it is natural and obvious that the amount of performance you will get from the machine is of maximum importance - up there with ergonomics, maybe even more important. The 545RXT is built with a powerful and robust Husqvarna 45.7cc E-TECH engine, not just that though, it also utilises X-Torq design which can increase power generated by the engine and also help to reduce exhaust emissions by up to 75% plus a reduction of fuel consumption by up to 20%. Utilising this power is a 35-degree grass bevel gear which can produce high torque and while running in parallel to the ground performance is increased more so. Ergonomics, which we have already stated, come very close to performance when it comes to the creation of a high-grade brushcutter, come in abundance on the Husqvarna 545RXT.
Let us start with LowVIb technology – how is technology related to anything ergonomic we hear you say – well, LowVIb utilises specially placed anti-vibration dampeners which help reduce engine vibration on the body of the brushcutter. Less vibration obviously means less stress and tension being applied to the users' hands and arms during long working periods. A less technological but equally important aspect when buying a Husqvarna 545RXT brushcutter is what harness it comes with. The answer is a Balance XT ergonomic harness built with shoulder straps and broad back support, shoulder straps and a hip belt. The Balance XT distributes the users working load over a larger area, and paired with an adjustable backplate means an ultra-comfortable working position throughout. Other ergonomic features of the 545RXT brushcutter are soft-grip handles, an adjustable and angled handlebar and a high offset post to increase freedom of movement for users working on slopes. Engine start-up has long been a bit of a chore when it comes to using almost any cord start, petrol garden machinery. Smart Start, fuel pump and an auto return stop switch mean that starting your brushcutter is now much easier and indeed quicker. Smart Start reduces resistance in the starter cord by up to 40% meaning, less pulling is required when starting the brushcutter. The fuel pump is also handy as it removes air from the fuel system and carburettor which otherwise cause issues when starting petrol engines. The fuel tank on the 545RXT is transparent which, obviously, means you can keep better track of when you needed to refuel. An optimised centre of gravity and shaft length improve balance from a better-placed fuel tank in the front end of the engine. Shaft length is actually extended and can help by allowing a wider birth when grass clearing. The trimmer head is also an important aspect of a brushcutter and the fact the 545RXT comes with a Tap n' Go head and twin line cutting system which is capable of adjustment via a simple tap of the head on the ground. The head can also be easily changed too as sometimes, a metal saw or grass blade may do a better job, on dense areas such as bramble bushes, woody growths and thistles, than the cable.

View full detailsNice well balanced machine when attached to the harness, I do find though the guard is a little too long when trying to tap for cord feed as it hits the floor first other than that my only issue was attaching the guard as the way it's designed took a lot of force to get the bolt to line up properly. Nice power to weight cut both well with cord and disk. Very little vibration feed back and the harness it comes with is very comfortable to wear for long durations. Seems to be very fuel efficient and easy to start both cold and hot. Also impressed by the price paid as it was a couple of hundred less than all other competitors. All in all a very powerful user friendly machine for a great price.
