Care Instructions:

• Wash your Hug Rug or Hug Rug Sense only when necessary.
• New rugs may shed excess cotton, which will stop after a few washes or brushes.
• To save water, let mud and dirt dry, then brush away.
• For longer life and to protect your washing machine, place the rug in a cotton pillowcase, machine wash on a quick cotton wash at 30ºC with low spin speed.
• Brush or hoover your rug to remove excess cotton, mud, and debris before washing.
• Check the washing machine filter regularly for excess cotton.
• Do not use biological washing detergent, as it may fade the colour.
• Avoid fabric conditioner, as it reduces the rug's performance.
• Dry flat, on an Aga rail, or line dry naturally. Tumble dry on a cool setting for 10 minutes to plush the pile (optional).
• Never place a Hug Rug on a damp floor.
• Do not tumble dry on high heat for long periods.
• Prolonged direct sunlight may cause fading.
• Avoid leaving a steam cleaner on the rug for too long to prevent crumpling the backing.
• Spot wash for rugs too large to fit in the washing machine.
• Although the mats and rugs are designed not to leave marks, cleaning products, sunlight, and heat may cause discoloration on some flooring. Lift the mat frequently to clean and air the floor underneath.
• The backing is free from vinyl and PVC. For specialist flooring, check with the manufacturer before using any rubber-backed mats.
