Oxo design features one of the nation's favourite consumer brands

Oxo originated from Leibig’s Extract of Meat Company, which was commercialised starting in 1866. It brought a liquid containing only meat extract and salt to market, but it was considered too expensive for many families to buy. After much research, the first Oxo cubes were produced in 1910 and were sold for a penny each, enabling many more people to add extra meat flavouring to their meals.
