Elevate your roast dinners with the established market leader, celebrated for its smooth skin and sweet flavour.

A premium F1 hybrid variety belonging to the traditional Pastinaca family, widely regarded by exhibition growers and kitchen gardeners alike as the gold standard for parsnips. This early-to-mature variety combines exceptional vigour with high canker resistance, producing uniform, high-quality roots that taste absolutely delicious.

Details:

  • Botanical Name: Pastinaca sativa, a superior and highly reliable F1 hybrid parsnip.
  • Smooth Cream Skin: Produces clean, well-shaped, and smooth cream-coloured roots that are easy to wash and peel, resulting in minimal kitchen waste.
  • Intensely Sweet Flavour: Packed with a high natural sugar content that intensifies after winter frosts, making it the ultimate choice for roasting, mashing, or baking into warming autumn stews.
  • Advanced Canker Resistance: Specially bred to offer excellent natural resistance to parsnip canker, ensuring your roots remain clean, healthy, and visually pristine in the ground.
  • Early to Mature: Fast-establishing and early-maturing compared to traditional varieties, giving you a reliable and highly productive harvest early in the season.
  • Reliable Garden Performance: Demonstrates outstanding hybrid vigour, showing excellent consistency in root shape, size, and weight right down the row.

Care Instructions:

  • Sow seeds directly outdoors from late winter to late spring in shallow drills 1.5cm deep into finely raked, deeply dug, stone-free soil.
  • Keep rows spaced roughly 30cm apart and be patient, as parsnip seeds can take up to several weeks to germinate.
  • Thin out the emerging seedlings to roughly 10cm to 15cm apart to allow the roots plenty of room to develop, and leave a few in the ground until after the first frosts to lock in their maximum sweetness.
