A British-bred, bolt-resistant breakthrough optimized for multi-cut harvesting.

Say goodbye to prematurely running seeds with this exceptional, high-performance coriander. Specially bred to be incredibly slow to bolt, Calypso branches low to the ground to form dense, uniform, bushy plants that are perfectly engineered for "cut and come again" cropping—reliably re-growing for three to four heavy flushes of leaves.

Details:

  • Botanical Name: Coriandrum sativum, a highly advanced and refined selection within the culinary herb family.
  • Plant Class: Half Hardy Annual, establishing rapidly to provide a long, continuous supply of fresh summer greens.
  • Unrivalled Bolt Resistance: Unlike traditional varieties that quickly go to seed in the summer heat, Calypso is specifically bred to resist bolting, massively extending your fresh leaf harvesting window.
  • Low-Branching Bushy Habit: Naturally develops a compact, multi-stemmed, and uniform shape that maximizes leaf production per plant.
  • Cut & Come Again Cropping: Offers fantastic garden value; simply trim away the lush outer leaves, and the plant will rapidly regenerate to provide three to four subsequent gourmet harvests.
  • Premium Aroma & Flavour: Packed with powerful essential oils, delivering a wonderfully pungent, clean, and refreshing citrus-coriander flavour that is essential for curries, salsas, and stir-fries.
  • Growing Versatility: Because of its controlled, bushy habit, it is the ideal candidate for open garden rows, raised herb beds, or tightly packed patio containers and kitchen window boxes.

Care Instructions:

  • Sowing Position: Sow seeds thinly directly into finely prepared, well-drained soil or final pots. Coriander has a sensitive taproot and dislikes being moved, so direct sowing in a bright, partially shaded or sunny position is recommended.
  • Watering: Keep the compost or soil consistently moist. While Calypso is highly bolt-resistant, letting the roots dry out completely can still stress the plant, so regular watering is key to keeping the foliage lush and tender.
  • Harvesting Tip: When harvesting your "cuts," ensure you leave the central growing point intact at the base of the stems. This allows the plant to quickly push out its next flush of fresh, aromatic green leaves.
