A vigorous, early-cropping variety producing massive yields of juicy flat pods.

Secure a heavy, early-season harvest with this exceptional flat-podded climbing French bean. Engineered for strong vigor and robust disease resistance, it produces clusters of long, juicy, and entirely stringless green pods that mature well ahead of traditional runner beans, filling the early summer gap in your kitchen garden.

Details:

  • Botanical Name: Phaseolus vulgaris, a high-performance selection within the Climbing Bean genus.
  • Juicy Flat-Pod Profile: Bears large, broad, and flat green pods that remain remarkably juicy, tender, and completely stringless throughout their development.
  • High-Yielding Clusters: Unlike solitary varieties, these beans hang in heavy, prolific clusters along the vine, maximizing your vertical growing space.
  • Early Harvesting: Specially valued for its rapid development, allowing you to pick big, succulent crops before your maincrop runner beans are ready to harvest.
  • Robust Disease Resistance: Bred with advanced natural resilience against common bean diseases, ensuring healthy, clean green foliage and reliable crop performance.
  • Elegant White Blossoms: Flowers with a profusion of clean white blossoms that contrast beautifully with the dark green leaves, attracting vital pollinators to the plot.

Care Instructions:

  • Sowing Position: Sow seeds directly outdoors 5cm deep once the risk of spring frost has fully passed, or start early indoors in deep pots. Position in a bright, sheltered spot in full sun.
  • Soil Preference: Plant out into deeply dug, moisture-retentive soil that has been well-fertilized with plenty of organic matter or garden compost.
  • Support & Watering: Erect sturdy bamboo poles, netting, or a garden teepee up to 1.8m (6ft) tall for the vines to climb. Water the roots copiously when the white flowers appear and pick the flat pods regularly to sustain a non-stop harvest.
