After researching online, the problem can solved. But it's a pity it's not included in the manual.
You will need a small torque wrench and the appropriate extention with a suitable fitting. Remove the head then using a split pin spanner remove the split pin. Remove the disc and remove the accumulated grot underneath.
Replace disc and head. Tighten down well. OK now load your strimmer cord.
All this is available online with video and clear instructions. It's worth a look.
Having said all that I must say it is a very efficient and powerful strimmer.
I've had this trimmer for a while and have had mixed results in loading fresh line.
The automatic line loading frequently does not function properly. Today I spent over and hour try to persuade the line to load, but to no avail.
So now I have a line trimmer with no line and no obvious way of loading it.
The instructions are brief to the point of being useless.
The actual trimmer when it had a line, worked very well. But line loading is just a nightmare.
Maybe someone can give me some advice?
