BugClear Ultra Vine Weevil Killer gets rid of vine weevil in two ways:
ON CONTACT - with larvae in the soil; SYSTEMICALLY - from within the plant to prevent damage. BugClear Ultra Vine Weevil Killer also kills whitefly, greenfly, blackfly, scale insects and mealy bugs. Easy to use - simply mix and apply.
WHEN TO APPLY:
- Treat in mid-June and repeat in mid-August to give protection against actively feeding larvae.
HOW OFTEN TO APPLY:
- A maximum of 2 treatments may be applied per year.
WHERE TO USE:
- Ideal for use on flowers, roses, ornamental plants grown in pots and hanging baskets outdoors and in conservatories.
COVERAGE AREA:
- The 480ml concentrate will treat up to 20 x 20cm (8") pots.
CAUTIONS:
- Wash hands and exposed skin after use. Do not breathe spray.

Expensive but good. There are very few treatments available for Vine Weevils but this is one of the best.

This product is necessary for me to successfully grow clematis in my garden. I unfortunately inherited vine weevil infestation in the border and it has travelled to my potted clematis too. I use bottles of this product every few months to keep the plant healthy and the roots relatively clean. It’s a long process but hopefully worth while. The clematis bloomed this year successfully.
