Bought a couple, to deter spring nesting birds, in my roof eves before re tiling in March ( using xmas led lights to deter bats seeking new roosts, when they come out of hibernation.

Product is fine. The 'string' to support is basically cotton and lasts max 1hr...an easy fix with proper string
As for detering garden birds, haha, they are still happily feeding nearby but might be looking to avoid the roof eve's ( I hope :) )
