This is a pre-packed kit containing the basic protective equipment that is needed when using a chainsaw.
Includes chaps with saw protection class 1 ( 20m/s), Functional gloves with saw protection (16m/s) and a Forest helmet Classic. The medium-size Husqvarna Functional Chainsaw Chaps can be used over your regular working trousers.
The Husqvarna Basic Chainsaw Protective Kit is a pre-packed kit that contains all the PPE safety elements you will need to begin work with your chainsaw. The kit includes:
Helmet:
The helmet featured in this pack is the Husqvarna Classic Forest Helmet and it is certified to EN397 standard. The helmet also comes with attachable ear defenders and a mesh visor to provide a high level of eye protection as well as visibility.
Gloves:
The safety gloves included are the Husqvarna Functional Gloves that come with a goat leather double palm and foam laminated spandex on the back. The gloves also have hard-wearing nylon neoprene knuckles and a flexible knitted wrist. The gloves are protected to Class 0, 16m/s according to EN 381-7.
Trousers/Chaps:
The Husqvarna Functional Chainsaw Chaps come in a medium, meet the requirements of EN 381-5, EN 340 class 1, 20m/s and can be easily worn over the top of existing work trousers. Strap fastening at the back.

Really good service from Sam Turner & sons will definitely be using these guys again. The safety kit is good, helmet is great, gloves and chaps are on the large size but i knew buying a "one size fits all' was a gamble as im not the tallest. Cant quibble for the price.
Obviously not marketed at the daily, professional user market, this is great for an amateur like me. Neatly boxed and easy to put together (though a larger font in the instruction book wouldn't go amiss). Obviously in a kit you get the size you are given, but the chaps are one size and the gloves fitted my large hands well. Helmet is fully adjustable. All quite comfortable. Chaps offer Class 1 protection - given a choice I would have preferred full tousers with braces, but I am not going to be an intensive user. Sam Turner & Sons delivered eariler than promised. Great experience.
